Degree Project 2010: Audi One Cultural Achievement Award
Finally I have time to post my thesis project, the Audi One Cultural Achievement Award. The vehicle is designed as an award to celebrate cultural hero’s outstanding achievements. Inspired by the Stanley Cup of the National Hockey League, I wanted to create a vehicle that would be passed on to each winner and be driven for one year, collecting the names and experiences of these great individuals. This project was in collaboration with Audi AG, done at the Umeå Institute of Design in Sweden. Ferrari Nero
Over the last couple week’s I took the time to re-do my portfolio which meant giving some of my older projects a little bit more love. I had been waiting over a year to do that second render to show how the Ferrari Nero’s body would explode at high speeds. The broken panels move rearwards acting as adaptive spoilers, adding to the overall excitement.
Mudbox Maserati
Using Autodesk Mudbox I made a 3D underlay to sketch over, in this case it turned into some sort of Maserati. More Mudbox mayhem to come!
Matte Painting
Some matte painting practice, just trying brushes out and setting up scenes, more to come!
Sketchin’
Now that I’m finally back in Toronto for the Christmas break, I thought I’d get back into doing some quick sketch’s in ps. Nomad Racing is a fictional race company I made up for last year’s Project Nomad, so why not keep the team alive with some hot rods!
Goodbye Saab/Gothenburg Trip
This past weekend all of us second year students headed down to Gothenburg to take in the Saab Museum, Volvo Museum, and the Volvo truck and car plants. Here are a couple pics from the Saab Museum, and of course now that Saab is on its way out the door, it makes that trip all the more worthwhile.
Project Nomad in FHM Germany – November 09 Issue
FHM Germany was kind enough to send me a copy of their November 09 issue with a short feature about my Project Nomad from last year’s ultimate driving experience project. Thanks to Klaud Wasiak for the great photography.

Project Ghia
More Ghia, Getting closer to my final design. I’m finally happy with this front end, but it still needs to be worked out, along with the rear.
